Prime Management Group Inc. is partnering with Goodwill Industries in the search for a creative, empowering and community-focused VP, Communications & Marketing (hybrid role with an onsite requirement in London, ON),while they embark on a path of significant expansion. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this accomplished professional will lead the development and execution of comprehensive, integrated communication and marketing strategies aligned with Goodwill’s values and organizational goals.
This purpose-driven executive will play a pivotal role in enhancing Goodwill’s visibility and strengthening community trust through strategic communication and thoughtful brand management. This impactful leader will develop and execute comprehensive strategic marketing plans to amplify Goodwill’s mission of empowering individuals through education, training, and employment. With a focus on clarity and consistency, they will guide messaging across diverse platforms and audiences, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term impact. They will play a crucial role in shaping and expanding public awareness, donor engagement, and reputation-building efforts. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact across both the organization and the community it serves.
As VP, Communications and Marketing, you will lead a dynamic portfolio that includes public relations, internal and external communications, media engagement, and marketing leadership. This role requires a skilled storyteller and thought leader who can collaborate cross-functionally to support executive leadership, donor stewardship, community partnerships, and organizational priorities. The innovative leader will drive strategic initiatives supporting new market growth, champion a unified brand voice, and foster team innovation and development. This position also provides executive-level communication support to the CEO and Board, including speech writing, presentations, and key messaging.
To thrive in this critical role, the successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading communications and marketing in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. Your ability to build customer reward/loyalty recognition programs, leverage data, deliver results-driven strategies, and respond effectively to public relations opportunities and challenges will be key to your success. As a collaborative leader, you will mentor and empower a motivated team while modelling empathy, inclusion, and Goodwill’s core values.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should possess the following:
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in communications and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- A post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in building brand awareness, managing reputation, and executing strategic marketing and communication plans.
- Familiarity with donor relations, fundraising communications, and advocacy campaigns.
- Expertise in digital marketing, content strategy, and social media to drive engagement and audience growth.
- Experience in media relations, crisis communications, and public affairs, with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across varied stakeholders.
- A data-informed mindset with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Proficiency with marketing automation and analytics platforms.
- Experience working in the retail, not-for-profit, or consumer goods sectors with a focus on community engagement strongly preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, as travel throughout the region is required.
