POSTION:                    Food Laboratory Quality Control Technician – 2 positions – Fulltime Permanent

DUTIES:

Ensure the in-house laboratory program meets Customer, Company, and Government requirements by following established protocols;
Work with the Sanitation team to ensure the environmental programs are in place and acceptable results are achieved, micro results are within customer expectations.
Provide regular trending data on ATP and microbiological swab results collected for our Environmental program.
Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of the in-house microbiology program including Good Laboratory Practices.
Ensure that the microbiological program is effective and is functioning per the written program and ensure the timely release of finished goods in compliance to Customer, Company, and Government requirements
Follow up any out of specification microbiological results with a Root Cause Analysis;
Report all information to the QA Manager and Quality Assurance Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

College or University degree in Food Safety and Quality Assurance
B.Sc or equivalent
One year Experience as Food Quality Assurance Technician

SALARY:

$28.61/hr
